The Gardens of Louveciennes

The fabled garden, residence to the many talented. Impressionist painters, literary and film icons, lies on the outskirts of Parisian suburbs, frequented by iconic ghosts of the past. Anais Nin penned literary works at Louveciennes, poignantly illustrating the very essence of this hidden gem, nestled between Versailles and Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Wrought iron gates, thick walls harbor lush, secluded gardens, and well kept secrets...upon her departure in 1936, she wrote "Louveciennes is dead." The end of an era laden with rich history, nostalgia.

"I had no regrets, except for the joys I knew there, but as the sorrows exceeded the joys by far I was full of anger and relief that it should die. Every home I make is the same way. It is a creation, but it is also a spider web, it shines, glows and also chokes me. I should like without a home, yet I am constantly building up a warm corner, the sensuality of velvet and curtains and pillows and rugs envelops me over and over again." ~Anais Nin

Richly complex, highly prized flora, exotic resins reminiscent of heavy floral, vintage Guerlain parfum.

The Gardens of Louveciennes is an exquisite culmination of  botanical extracts redolent of bygone eras, Parisian gardens, iconic ghosts of the past.

Flamboyant floral heart notes of Jasmine sambac and organic Rose de mai extract. Raw,  deeply refined, cordial-like aroma of liquid ambar and sensual dark, aged patchouli emerge beneath cooling hints of organic distilled lime

Jasmine sambac reflects the imagery of lush green tendrils of night blooming flora, beautifully contrasted by cool hints of lime.

A deeply rich, botanical bed of aged patchouli, and viscous liquid ambar convey the raw aesthetic, the stories inside the walls of Louveciennes. Smooth velvety curtains, conceal a room, littered with fragments of hand written notes. Viscous, honeyed, amber-like undercurrents carry the profane, the deeply sensual, the forbidden.
